Course learning outcomes
  1. Student correctly uses tools to create and modify vector images.
  2. Student prepares three-dimensional technical drawings.
  3. Student performs calculations in a spreadsheet, knows the specifics of working with different types of data and visualization methods.
  4. Student uses techniques to automate work with documents and calculations, and creates macro def-initions.
Programme learning outcomes
  1. Student has advanced knowledge and understanding of computer science fundamentals and selected topics from various areas of computer science, knows and understands how computer equipment works as well as basic processes in the life cycle of technical devices and systems.
  2. Student is able to analyse a complex problem and propose solutions, showing creativity in combining knowledge of computer science and other, problem-specific areas, producing a technical specification of requirements for the future implementation.
  3. Student is able to design, implement and evaluate an IT system that fulfils imposed requirements, by selecting appropriate IT techniques and tools for this purpose.
  4. Student is able to communicate effectively, also in a foreign language, work individually and in a team, and plan and pursue effective self-education.
Programme content During the course, general-purpose applications will be presented, taking into account examples of common using. In particular, students will be introduced to the applications and techniques used to create and edit images and 2D/3D models as well with techniques for working with numerical data. Technics of work automation will be presented, including basic programming tools.

Grading policies Examination consists in carrying out practical tests for the evaluation of each thematic section.
Course content Using of vector drawing tools. Filling and scaling of objects. Interactive tools, object transformations and clipping. Exporting result files. Creating three-dimensional technical drawings. Work with spreadsheet. Creating charts for a data series. Formatting charts and data. Creating formulas and using functions. Creating macrodefinitions and customizing them. Visual Basic procedures and functions. The main elements of the VB language. Spreadsheet support from VBA.
